Clare continues to row in behind The Gathering, as the national tourism drive enters it’s busiest weekend of the year.
With over 200 separate events held nationwide, including 6 here in Clare, the August Bank Holiday weekend marks the peak period for The Gathering, which is already credited with 10,000 visitors to the county.
In all, 36 Gatherings will be held in Clare this month, the seventh highest of any county in Ireland.
These include one of the county’s flagship events, a conference on the use of Irish set dancing in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease, which begins in Feakle on Tuesday.
