Sewerage schemes in Kilfenora and Quin were both included in the Water Services Investment Programme as schemes at planning.
Design, contract and tendering phases still have to be completed, but it’s hoped that works could begin in both areas by next year.

The Kilfenora Sewerage Scheme involves the upgrading of the existing Waste water Treatment Plant while an upgraded treatment process is also proposed for Quin, after a major population increase there in recent years.
Clare Fine Gael TD Joe Carey says it’s good news for both communities.
