The State is waiting for a formal extradition request from the United States for a 28 year old man described as ‘the largest facilitator of child porn on the planet’.
Eric Marques who lives at Mountjoy Square in Dublin has been remanded in custody for a week following his second High Court appearance since his arrest a week ago.

The court heard that the was arrested on foot of a provisional warrant, issued by a federal court in Maryland, but that he would be entitled to be released if a formal request is not made within 18 days.
The court heard that this is expected, and that the Minister will certify the request.
