The head of the Mid West Group of Hospitals insist they are taking steps to cut down on cancellations and no shows for consultant appointments.
New figures show Ennis General has the worst rate in the region which it comes to non attendance for scheduled consultant visits- with claims many gave up waiting for a date and "went private".

Ann Doherty says an Action Plan to address this is underway and it include additional and relocated clinics,along with better follow up calls for those facing longer waits.
