Two men have been arrested under Anti-Gang legislation following the discovery of a large haul of cocaine, a handgun, ammunition, and cash in Limerick City.
Gardaí made the discovery during planned searches of six houses, sheds and outhouses from half past eight this morning in the Lower Gerald Griffin Street area.

Gardaí said the operation targeted the activities of those linked to a city-based drug gang.
Two men, aged 26 and 37, were arrested under Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act, on suspicion of participating in the activities of a criminal organisation.
They are being detained at Henry Street station under Section Fifty of the Criminal Justice Act.
