The group behind a commuter ferry service between North Clare and Galway say they think it will see more tourists come to the Banner County.
A two-week trial of the Ballyvaughan Bay Hop begins next Monday, September 2nd, and ahead of that a launch event will be held in the village from 5:00 this evening.
The service will see a 12-seat ferry travel across Galway Bay, greatly reducing time for workers and students who commute from Ballyvaughan to the city.
Secretary of the Ballyvaughan Bay Hop Gwen Ryan says she also expects the service to appeal to people travelling in the opposite direction.
