A South African man who made abuse allegations agains a Christian Brother from Clarecastle in the Prime Time Investigates program has reportedly stated that he was ‘very badly used’ by RTE.
Tyrone Selmon claimed he was abused in the program, and though he did not name Brother Gerard Dillon, the broadcast attributed the claim to him.

Today’s Irish Independent says it has seen correspondance from Mr. Selmon, in which he was his interview was ‘never supposed to be a direct accusation’ and that he ‘finds it horrid names were used.’
RTE says it has recently received correspondance from the family of Brother Dillon, who have previously sought an inquiry into the 2011 program, the same broadcast in which Fr. Kevin Reynolds was defamed.
