Children from in and around the county town will enter the new Ennis National School for the first time this morning.
The completion of the 6.6 million euro development at Ashline sees the end of prefabs for around 600 students, and marks the end of a decade-long battle by parents and staff for new facilities.

Sod was turned at the site for new building on the Kilrush road in June of last year, and principal Ray McInerney says everyone is thrilled that today has arrived.
