A man has been remanded in custody on child pornography charges after he was brought before Kilrush District Court.
The 33 year old was arrested by Gardai in Ennistymon earlier this week and is accused of possessing illegal images contrary to the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act.

Judge Eugene O’Kelly imposed reporting restrictions after Superintendent Seamus Nolan told the court that identifiying the accused or his address might impede ongoing investigations.
He’s due back in court in Ennis next Wednesday.
