A West Clare restaurant has been honoured in one of the world’s largest food awards schemes.
The Great Taste awards grade products and meals on taste only, with judges given no indication about where the food has come from.
Based on this ‘blind’ test, the Fish Pie from The Long Dock Seafood Restaurant, Carrigaholt has been awarded a gold star.
It’s the latest boost for the Loop Head Peninsula, which was named The Best Place to Holiday in Ireland in an Irish Times competition earlier this year. The Burren Smokehouse in Lisdoonvarna was also honoured by the judging panel
