End Of The Line For Irish Naval Ship

The naval ship, the L.É EMER is being decommissioned today.

It’s after 35 years of service to the Irish state.

The L.É EMER is the oldest ship in the Naval Service fleet and was commissioned on January 16th 1978.

The vessel has had 23 captains and sailed a distance similar to the moon and back.
