Four people were rescued in Kilkee bay yesterday evening after their boat developed engine difficulties.
A member of the public raised the alarm at 5.45pm when they saw two divers in the water and a boat with two others beginning to drift dangerously close to the rocks at the base of the cliffs near George’s Head
The Irish Coastguard Kilkee Unit launched within ten minutes.
The divers were taken on board a rescue boat while their own craft was towed to the pier in Kilkee.
The three men and a woman were unharmed.
