There’s a call for a rise in the minimum wage.
The "Unite" Trade Union wants the payment to be brought up to nine euro twenty, a rise of 55 cents.

The trade union claims workers on the minimum wage have suffered a real pay cut of nearly ten percent since 2007 when increased taxation is taken into account.
Unite also says the value of the National Minimum Wage after inflation has fallen by six percent.
