Business representative group IBEC says the VAT and employment supports afforded to the hospitality sector must be extended.
IBEC says a reversal of the 9 percent VAT rate to 13.5 percent would cost 10 thousand jobs and undo much of the employment recovery seen over the past year.

The group says the reduced VAT rate and lower employer PRSI for those on a low wage has worked and should be continued.
Clare tourism representatives have been among those lobbying for the rate to be maintained.
