The Liam McCarthy Cup is set for a tour of Clare in the coming days and weeks, after the All Ireland Hurling Trophy returned to the Banner for the first time in 16 years.
Members of the team, and manager Davy Fitzgerald have thanked the county’s fans for the support, after tens of thousands greeted them on their arrival home from Dublin in Ennis, Cratloe, Sixmilebridge, Newmarket and Clarecastle yesterday.

Those celebrations will continue in the coming days, as Fitzgerald says he looks to share the success with the Clare public.
He’s appealing for patience though, as they try to reach the county’s four corners.
