The head of a leading national suicide support charity has said he is interested in setting up services in Clare, in response to increased local demand.
Console is reporting a 300% increase in calls to it’s Farm and Rural Stress Helpline, with nearly 5,300 people getting in touch from across Ireland in the six months to September.

The charity says this is because of financial worries caused by the fodder crisis, but also issues of isolation.
