Taoiseach Call For Irish Charity Soccer Team

The Taoiseach has proposed the establishment of an all-island soccer team – on a temporary basis and to play for charity.

Speaking at a reconciliation through sport event in Armagh in Northern Ireland, Enda Kenny says the team could play England every year or every two years in Croke Park or the Aviva in Dublin and Wembley in London.

And the Taoiseach says funds raised could be used for the Children’s hospitals in Belfast and Dublin.
