A 34 year old man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary and assault at an apartment in Limerick overnight.
A man entered the apartment on Lower Glenworth Street shortly after 1am – the two male occupants, aged 22 and 23, were stabbed and a quantity of cash and mobile phones were stolen.
The men were taken to University Hospital Limerick and their injuries are not life threatening.
The 34 year old man was arrested nearby and is being held at Henry Street Garda Station.
Some property was also recovered and investigations are continuing.
