English Air Traffic Control Fault Leads to Delays

Some Flights are delayed into Shannon Airport this afternoon, while more have been cancelled at Dublin airport and across the UK because of an air traffic control centre fault in England.

Affected airports include Dublin, Heathrow, Stanstead, Cardiff, and Glasgow.

Britain’s National Air Traffic Control Service said its Swanwick centre, in Hampshire, was having "difficulty switching from night time to daytime operation".

Ryanair meanwhile says the air traffic control issues will continue until at least 4 o’clock this afternoon.

Passengers are being advised to check their airline’s website before traveling today.
