Sports facilities in two of Clare’s main towns have received a six-figure boost.
Fifty-eight thousand euro in government funding is to be spent on the construction of a new artificial pitch in Kilrush, which will include floodlighting, security fencing and CCTV.

The same amount is also being allocated to improve facilities at Tim Smyth Park in Ennis.
Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen feels it’s an important boost, particularly in the West Clare town.
