The Environmental Protection Agency says it’s concerned about delays in the replacement of lead water pipes in parts of Ennis.
600 metres of lead pipes remain along the Marian Avenue and Linnane’s Terrace areas of the town, even though they were due to be replaced by Clare County Council by September 2011.

The work will not be comlpeted until next year, after more stringent rules regarding lead piping comes into force on Christmas Day.
