A man remains in garda custody in connection with the seizure of more than a million euro worth of cash near the Clare-Limerick border over the weekend.
The discovery was made as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime – after a man was found digging up cash in a field in Portcrusha, Montpelier on Saturday.

A 53-year-old man was arrested and is being questioned at Henry Street garda station under the Drug Trafficing Act.
A second man was also arrested – he’s been released without charge.
