Clare Gardai are urging motorists to drive with extra care this lunchtime as many of the county’s roads still have a lot of surface water.
Officers are warning drivers to pay particular attention when travelling at Barry’s Cross near Ardnacrusha as there is still a great deal of flood water along that route.

It comes as spot flooding caused major delays on may routes across the country earlier.
Met Eireann is forecasting sunny spells and further showers this afternoon.
