Elsewhere in North Clare, homes in Flaggy Shore near New Quay have also been hit with walls and fences sustaining structural damage, while significant damage has also been reported in Doolin and Doonbeg.

Met Eireann has issued a forecast of potentially dangerous conditions on some roads and some flooding for Sunday and Monday.

In particular coastal flooding continues to be a threat due to combination of high tides, high seas and high winds.
