The new mayor of Ennis is to forego his allowance of 12,000 euro.
Johnny Flynn says he hopes to ring fence the money for community and arts projects in the area.

Under the new local government structure Mayor Flynn's entitled to the allowance ontop of his payment as a councillor of just over 16,000.
However he's told Clare FM he's budgeted to do without the additional sum.
