The chairman of the Shannon Airport Authority says they'll continue to strive for growth in jobs and passenger numbers, despite being honoured at an awards ceremony for the aviation industry.

Shannon picked up the Airport Achievement Award at the inaugural Aviation Industry Awards, capping off a week which saw it celebrate continued growth with an increase of 21.7 per cent in commercial traffic in May.
But head of the Shannon Airport group Rose Hynes says they're not resting on their laurels.
