A 17 year old youth has appeared at the Children’s court in Ennis charged with the rape of a female in the town last year.
The youth is accused of carrying out the crime on July 8th 2013.

Insp Tom Kennedy said that the Book of Evidence is not ready in the case and and applied that the boy be further remanded in custody.
Judge Patrick Durcan revoked the boy’s bail after evidence was provided of breaches of bail conditions.
The boy – who turns 18 next month – was remanded in custody to re-appear before court next Wednesday, June 25th.
