Over 730 thousand euro is being paid out to Clare farmers as part of a national scheme.

As part of the Single Farm Payment Scheme, 26-thousand suckler cow farmers across the country are to receive money under the 2013 Beef Data Programme.
Suckler farming is a major part of the industry here – there are over 2,100 recipients in the county, the third highest level of any county in Ireland.
They'll receive an average payment of just over 340 euro.
