A new parish priest has been appointed to Ennistymon.

Canon William Cummins, currently the parish priest in Mervue in Galway, has been appointed to the North Clare Town by Bishop of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora Martin Drennan.
The current priest in Ennistymon, Canon Derek Feeney, is moving to Craughwell in County Galway while Canon Francis Larkin, Parish Priest in Kinvara, is to become assistant Pastor at St. Joseph's Galway, and will be replaced by Fr. David Cribbin, currently the Chaplain at University Hospital Galway.
The appointments take effect from this Friday.
