Rail services in Clare and accross the country look set to be disrupted next month, as SIPTU workers at Irish Rail have confirm that they're to go on strike.
The one day work stoppage will take place on Monday, August 25th, and is in response to the company's decision to implement Labour Court recommended cost saving measures, including temporary pay cuts.

The National Bus and Rail Union, which also rejected the pay cuts, says it will now ballot its members on industrial action – up to and including strike action.
The result of that ballot will be revealed next Friday.
