Clare's Chief Fire Officer is appealing to anyone planning a controlled burn to alert the service beforehand.
In recent days tenders have been sent to a number of incidents where planned fires where taking place, resulting in a bill to the land owner to cover the costs.

A number of gorse and forest fires have also broken out in areas including Moyasta, Whitegate and Connolly.
