Clare County Council is seeking information from the Office of Public Works about its funding applications for storm repairs.
It comes after local authority engineers and elected officials met with residents of Clohaninchy near Quilty yesterday – over a dozen homes there were flooded in January, and locals fear they'll be left exposed again this winter.

Last week the OPW told residents that new coastal protection works are not in the government's plans for storm remediation.
