The Doolin Coast Guard and the Shannon-based rescue helicopter were called to the scene at round 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

It's reported the boat was drifting towards rocks, but the vessel was secured and the seven divers on board were brought safely to shore.

It's the latest incident in a busy week for Clare's colunteer rescue services – early on Tuesday morning, the Kilkee Coast Guard came to the aid of a couple whose boat had suffered engine failure near Doonbeg, while the Loug Derg RNLI has been called out for four separate incidents and a total of nine people since last Saturday.
