Local representatives have joined Clare County Council in expressing hopes that plans for a National Diaspora Centre will proceed.

Fáilte Ireland is insisting it's plans for a National Dispora Centre remain on track, despite claims in the national media that the project is disjointed.
Clare County Council has applied to house the facility in Bunratty, and say the multi-million euro project provides an exceptional opportunity for the county.
Shannon area councillor Cathal Crowe agrees that it could bring thousands more people to the Bunratty area.
