Clare's motor dealers recorded a 75% increase in the number of vehicles they sold last month.

Figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show 320 new cars were sold here in July, up from 183 the year before.
Nationally, SIMI says last month was the busiest July on record while here in Clare an extra 600 cars have been sold in the first seven months of the year.
That's the highest figure recorded for that period since 2011.
