Third Level Education Rates High In Clare

Clare students are among the most likely to go to college.

Figures from the Higher Education Authority show 59% of 18 to 20 year olds are in college or university – this is the fourth highest rate of any county in Ireland, and eight points above the national average.

The report, which is to be published later, will also show that farmers' children are three times more likely to go to college than others, ahead of the sons and daughters of the self-employed and professional classes.
