A new plan to rezone lands along the Shannon Estuary for Marine Industry is expected to bring an economic boost to Clare.
The proposal's being launched by Clare County Council, would mean changing the status of 345 hectares of land in the county development plan.

Two locations have been identified at Cahercon and Moneypoint where the Council says existing pier facilities and deep water provide potential for maritime industry investment.
