Ennis Economist Concerned Recovery is Flat lining

The Nevin Institute says the slow spread of economic recovery across the country is a cause for the concern. 

The organisation, which is funded by trade unions, says the most recent data on the numbers of people in work should be assesed carefully.

The CSO says just over 1.9 million people are now employed in Ireland the highest number since the end of 2009. 

However the rate of unemployed in the Midwest still remains at 13.2 per cent and Economist with the Nevin Institute Ennis native Micheál Collins says there is a concern that the recovery is flat-lining across Europe.
