Gardaí have arrested two men in relation to an aggravated burglary in West Clare last month.
On the evening August 10th last, an elderly man answered the door of his home at Shyan West to two men who were wearing balaclavas, who then assaulted him before tying him up.

However, a neighbour disturbed them during the incident and the pair fled empty handed, while the man is recovering but is said to be shaken.
Yesterday, two men in their 20s were arrested in Limerick City and were brought to Ennistymon and Kilrush Garda Stations.
Gardaí have until 8:15 this evening to decide whether they will be charged or released, and officers have also re-iterated their call for information in relation to the incident.
