New figures have shown that the overcrowding crisis at University Hospital Limerick worsened last month.
The INMO says the number of patients on trolleys there in August was more than double the figure for the same month in 2013.

The total monthly figure of 458 (up from 224 last year) was also the second-highest of any hospital in Ireland, and has sparked renewed calls for Emergency care to be re-instated at Ennis General.
