Over 200 people attended a public forum which has heard anger and upset about the introduction of a permanent programme of Deacons in the Diocese of Killaloe.
The plan has been shelved by Bishop Kieran O'Reilly, but a public meeting called to oppose it went ahead at the Inn at Dromoland last night.

There, some disagreed with the objections to it, but the majority said they were upset the proposal and felt they were being rejected.
