Clare's Fianna Fáil TD has claimed that the banking inquiry will be a political witch-hunt.
Concern has been expressed today that the investigation into Ireland's economic collapse will fail because there isn't enough time for it to be completed by the end of the Dáil term.

A number of Ministers insist the inquiry can be finished on time, but their plans have been criticised by East Clare TD Timmy Dooley.
He says the government is not looking to carry out a ‘show-trial’ against his party.
