Rent prices in Clare have bucked the national trend by falling slightly in the past year.
The Private Residential Tenancies Board say the average rent here between April and June was 512 euro, compared with 515 euro in the same timeframe last year.

Outside of Dublin, rents are up 2.6% but in the capital rents have risen by 10.5 per cent year-on-year.
