Clare's Labour TD has settled an unfair dismissal case taken against him by a former parliamentary assistant.
The Employment Appeals Tribunal was due to hear evidence yesterday from Conor Daly, who had taken the action against his former boss after being dismissed in 2012.

At an earlier hearing in May, Deputy McNamara said he had to "bite the bullet" and dismiss Conor Daly who he felt "wasn't carrying out the functions" of the role.
The EAT had yet to hear direct evidence from Mr. Daly.
