A Killaloe woman is to be honoured by Clare County Council for her marathon swimming efforts.
Teacher Rosie Foley, a former Ireland Rugby international, swam the length of Lough Derg and then the English Channel this summer, in a unique double.

At the time she said she had achieved a childhood dream, and now Clare County Council is to stage a civic reception in her honour.
