Ebola Ruled Out in Case of Woman at National Isolation Unit

The HSE has ruled out Ebola in the case of a woman admitted to the Mater hospital in Dublin this morning.

It says the virus has been ruled out as a cause of the woman's illness, but that other tests are ongoing.

The woman was admitted to hospital this morning, having developed certain symptoms after recently travelling to Nigeria.

The street surrounding the entrance to the Mater had been sealed off as a precaution.

The H-S-E says the risk of Ebola being brought to Ireland is low, but that it's taking the issue seriously and all healthcare personnel are taking the appropriate measures to control any possible infection.
