The IFA has given the go-ahead to farmers for further action against meat factories as part of their campaign to secure beef price increases.
The decision was made an emergency meeting of the IFA's executive council last night, days after the Agriculture Minister had chaired talks between all sides at the beef forum.
IFA President Eddie Downey said farmers are very angry that the price gap between Ireland and Britain has not been addressed.
