Tributes are being paid following the death of a long-serving East Clare Councillor.
John Minogue from Tulla represented the Killaloe area as an Independent from 1960 to 1991 – he ran in and was elected in five separate elections.

Described as a popular and unassuming man – the publican was well-known as a big GAA fan and is reputed to have taught Christy Moore the song 'Spancilhill'.
