A Clare Government Senator is welcoming a proposal to have some ministers appointed from the Seanad to the Cabinet after the next election.
Enda Kenny says he’ll think about the idea to bring more outside expertise into cabinet.

Legally two ministers can come from the Seanad, opening the door for the Taoiseach to appoint someone to the Upper House just to put them in cabinet.
Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway says he would go further.
