People taking to the water in 2015 are being urged to stay safe.
Irish Water Safety is advising anyone planning on taking part in a swim in the ocean or rivers in a bid to blow out the Christmas cobwebs to splash some water on the back of your neck before getting in and to wade in rather than jump.
